Skin Tightening and Collagen Remodeling for the Face, Neck, & Body with CynoSure TempSure Envi

Looking for Healthier Skin?

Our skin is our largest organ. It protects us, allows us to feel, and regulates body temperature. It’s also one of the first things other people see, especially our face. So it’s important to take care of our skin, to feel good and look good.

As we age, our skin becomes thinner, losing some ability to repair and maintain itself. One effect of aging is caused by producing less collagen, impacting skin elasticity and hydration.

But you don’t need to settle for your body’s slowing collagen production. Instead, you can boost the repair and care your skin needs with TempSure skin tightening. The CynoSure TempSure Envi is a specialty skincare device for the face, neck, and body.

How Collagen Affects Aging

Collagen is the most common structural protein in animals (humans, too). Found in connective tissue, bones, tendons, and cartilage, collagen is responsible for healthy joints and skin elasticity.

Boosting collagen promotes healthy skin, preventing sagging and wrinkles. But it’s also beneficial for dry skin. Many older adults experience dry skin because cell renewal decreases and produce fewer natural oils.

After age 20, collagen levels drop by 1% each year. At first, it may not seem like a drastic change, but it’s down 10% by the time you reach age 30.

Collagen levels are also affected by sugar, smoking, and sunlight. Good health habits can prevent some of the impacts, preserving your natural collagen levels. However, even the healthiest lifestyles aren’t entirely immune to lowering collagen as we age.

How TempSure Works

The Tempsure Envi therapeutic device is a small, handheld unit. The device gently warms your skin with radiofrequency energy. The heat encourages your natural production of collagen by stimulating the dermis

Your skin has multiple layers, with the dermis as the middle layer. The dermis provides nourishment and moisture for your skin. It’s also the layer containing dense collagen bundles.

During each session, the optometrist begins by applying a gel to your skin. Then, the device is used to gently massage your skin in a circular motion. A temperature sensor monitors heat, with a target range of 40-42℃.

The length of each session will depend on how much skin area is targeted. TempSure treatments can be applied to the face, neck, and body. Typically, most appointments last between 30–60 minutes.

What to Expect After Sessions

Immediately after each session, your skin will likely feel warm, and you may have some redness due to stimulation. However, the feeling and appearance will fade quickly.

Wrinkles will appear less visible within the initial 2–3 days, but the remodelling isn’t finished. After 7–10 days, your skin’s rebuilding process begins. Then, fibroblasts accumulate in the affected tissue to create new collagen, resulting in new tissue growth. Finally, 25–30 days after treatment, the new collagen decreases wrinkles and fine lines.

Skin Benefits

TempSure Envi can help improve the appearance and health of your skin. Some of the benefits of the treatment include reducing:

  • Wrinkles
  • Crow’s feet
  • Smile lines
  • Loose skin
  • Forehead lines

TempSure is also a treatment option for dry eyes. Applying heat to the areas around your eyes promotes collagen production to support the skin of your eyes and eyelids. It also stimulates the meibomian glands, necessary for creating quality tears.
